Festa del Grafisme
Festa del Grafisme is a collective project and a design event that takes place in the coastal and border town of Portbou. The event is aimed at creatives from various sectors and promotes the plurality of ideas and thoughts. Its goal is to create a community space with workshops, talks, and exhibitions to explore and learn about different creative disciplines in a natural environment. All of this is designed to leave behind work-related stress and escape the routine.
For the event's communication identity, the aim was to combine the ideals of summer camps: a sense of community, teamwork, and learning in a natural and fun setting. To achieve this, nine mascots were created, which can serve as symbols and identity markers for a brand or represent a community—something often found in summer camps. Six of them reference creative sectors such as photography, drawing, painting, and film, while the remaining three are inspired by the city of Portbou: the map, the float, and the sun.
The color palette features saturated and pastel tones reminiscent of nature and the beach. The typography is inspired by vintage posters, blending a retro and playful style with a sans-serif typeface.
